E, ovo je promjena koja će vas utješiti kao ništa do sada!

Lijevo je želja većine fitnessljubaca, desno – želja većine žena koje se bore s kilogramima, no šta ako vam osoba koja jeste na ovim slikama kaže da je sama sebi puno ljepša – znate gdje? Na desnoj slici.

“To sam ja danas – zdrava, sretna, zadovoljna sobom! A ovo lijevo – to sam ja dan nakon pobjede na bikini takmičenju 2014. godine – za koji sam se ubila od truda i stresa!”, napisala je to Ann Ledbetter i zapravo svima vama koji tako težite ovim silnim mišićima dala najbolju moguću utjehu!

Problem je što se danas upravo ovakva tijela, mišičava, savršena, bez grama masti, promovišu kao idealna “bikini tijela”, kao da je to samo tako za postići. To vam fitness industrija zapravo želi poručiti da vježbate, vježbate i vježbate, odnosno – da ćete uz malo vježbi postići baš takvo tijelo, a to je tako daleko od istine.  A da nismo ni spomenuli lažne uglove snimanja i korekcije Photoshopom.

TURN THAT SOUND ON ladies, you need to hear this one LOUD-n-CLEAR Since bikini competition season is is FULL swing this time of year and tons of people are showing their highlight reels from their bikini competitions on instagram and using them for program covers and advertisements, I felt compelled to show you my BEFORE and AFTER from the day before I won my #WBFF bikini pro card back in 2014 to today (happy, healthy and free with NO plans to compete in the future). Looks a bit backwards from what you think in your mind huh? It most likely will for over half of you. That is the fitness industry for you..showing you the highlight reel of what they call a “bikini” body. For those of you who have competed, you know what I am talking about when I say that the body on the left is NOT maintainable year-round. I was almost in the single digits for body fat % (not healthy), constantly cold (in the middle of JULY), always thinking about my next meal because I was in a deep caloric deficit and couldn’t miss a gym session because “I was ___ weeks out from my show”. I also remember sending that exact photo to my coach asking him if I was ready because I thought I still needed to lose fat in my stomach…like what?! Talked about a WARPED brain I had. The body on the right is a maintainable body. I am at a healthy body fat %, I am not constantly thinking about my next meal or stressed when things take priority over my workouts. I am strong, content and most importantly confident of the body I have built since 2014. This body is something that I can confidently say I can maintain for life. Moral of this post: Ladies, do NOT…I repeat, do NOT look at all these bikini competition photos or magazine covers these next couple months and compare your body to theirs. 99.9% of them are either showing a VERY VERY VERY extreme highlight reel OR photoshopped. No matter how “healthy” your approach is to the stage, it is an extreme. Plain and Simple. BTW this is not bashing competing in any way, just stating the fact that competitors often tend to use photos from their competition photoshoot to advertise these bikini programs and it is just NOT right. #EndRant

“Da biste imali tijelo kakvo sam imala ja, godinama, nije potrebno samo potruditi se. Takmičenja se organizuju tokom cijele godine i vi ste stalno na nekim pripremama, stalno na striktnoj prehrani, stalno na minimalnom postotku masti (što nije zdravo), stalno na rubu, gladna, željno iščekujući slijedeći obrok, u teretani davala sve od sebe unatoč kalorijskom deficitu. Samo da bih se pripremila za slijedeće takmičenje. A čak me, sjećam se, ova linija lijevo zabrinjavala – to sam se slikala da pošaljem treneru i pitam ga trebam li možda skinuti još malo? Kada sad to vidim ne mogu se ne pitati – kako skinuti još malo na ovo što je već “skinuto”. A skinuto je uz toliko truda i odricanja. To je ono što morate znati!

Zato se prestanite uspoređivati s ovakvim tijelima – prestanite težiti samo tome da izgledate ovako – jer ako se bavite fitnessom i njegujete zdravu prehranu – čak i tada je jako teško doći do ovakvih rezultata. Na zdrav način. Previše je to stresa, previše je to odricanja, gladovanja i lošeg osjećaja – ovo desno, ovo je tijelo koje me sada čini puno, puno ponosnijom. Jer znam da sam zdrava – znam da ne moram gristi nokte do slijedećeg obroka i biti pod stalnim stresom. 

I zato vam ponavljam. Nemojte se upoređivati s ovakvim tijelima. Jednostavno prestanite!”
